Whitelist Instructions

Increasingly, ISPs are using filtering systems to try and keep spam out of users inboxes. Sometimes, they accidentally filter the e-mail that you want to receive

In many cases you are not notified and neither are we, that the Dadabhagwan Egroup e-mail didn't get through.

To make sure that our newsletter e-mails are not filtered into your "junk" or "bulk" folder, please add the egroup@dadabhagwan.org to your list of trusted senders.


Follow the directions below.

If you do not see an email from Dadabhagwan Egroup in your inbox, due to the overzealous filtering by ISPs my email may have mistakenly been sent to your spam folder. Please look for it there, open it and mark it as "not spam"...,

Click the below link to your ISP or email client to Whitelist Dadabhagwan Egroup.

ISPs:  AOL, AOL Web Mail, Yahoo, Hotmail Live, Windows Live and MSN, Gmail, Earthlink, AT&T, Comcast, Netscape

Email Clients: Outlook 2003 (or higher), Mozilla Thunderbird, Blackberrys, Outlook Express 6 (or higher), Entourage, MacMail

Spam Filters: Norton AntiSpam, McAfee Spamkiller, Cloudmark SpamNet, Mailblocks, MailShield, MailWasher, Oddpost, SpamAssassin, SpamButcher, Spameater Pro, Spam Inspector, Spam Interceptor, SpamPal, Spam Sleuth 



Other providers:

AOL

To make sure email gets delivered to your AOL inbox, you must add the email address or corporate domain of the sender to your Address Book or Custom Sender List.

Log into your account and click the “Settings” link.

Select "Spam Settings" and Choose "Allow mail only from egroup@dadabhagwan.org" option.
Add the domain or email address you would like to receive mail from, then click "Add" Click "Save"

AOL Web Mail: If using AOL web mail replying to an email from Dadabhagwan Egroup will also work.
Email from that domain will now be delivered straight to your Inbox.

YAHOO! MAIL

If you’re not receiving email at you are expecting, there are two things you can do: Use the "Not Spam" button in your Bulk folder. Create a filter to automatically send email from certain domains to your Inbox. This is the only way to really ensure delivery.


Report as "Not Spam"
Check your Yahoo! Bulk folder
If you see the Dadabhagwan Egroup, highlight it and click "Not Spam"
This does not guarantee that your mail will be delivered in the future, but it does help.


Create a Filter
Click "Options" in the top right navigation bar and select "Mail Options" from the list that drops down

Choose "Filters" located on the left side of the page and click the "Add" button on the Filters page
Type a name for your filter in the "Filter name" field and select "contains" in the "sender" drop-down menu
Enter the text string to compare. For example: egroup@dadabhagwan.org
Choose the destination folder to which you would like the message delivered. For example: Inbox

GMAIL

To make sure email gets delivered to your inbox, you must add the email address egroup@dadabhagwan.org to your contacts list.

Click the drop down arrow next to "Reply" in the upper right side of your inbox screen.

Click the "Add Dadabhagwan Egroup to Contacts List" from the list that appears.

You will now see Dadabhagwan Egroup appear under the "Quick Contacts" list on the left side of the page.

OUTLOOK
Because of the various email platforms that can work with Outlook, it is tricky to tell you how to recieve all email to your Outlook inbox. We can tell you, however, how to make sure you can see all the emails you receive as they were intended to be seen - with images. If a company is not in your address book or "Safe Sender" list, your HTML images will not display.

To have HTML display correctly, users can:

Change their automatic download settings

Add sender to your address book

Add your email or domain to their approved sender list

Right-click on the message in your inbox.

Select "Junk E-mail" from the menu.

Click "Add Sender to Safe Senders List."

To change settings:

Right click on a non-displaying image in an HTML email

Choose "Change automatic download settings" option

When the popup comes up, uncheck the first box in the list that says "don’t download pictures or other HTML content automatically

Click "OK"


To add sender to address book:

Open the email

Right click on the from address

Choose "Add to contacts" option

To add domain to safe sender list:

Right click on a non-displaying image in an HTML email

Choose "Add the domain to the safe sender list" option


Outlook Express version 6 (or higher):

Open the email.

Left-click the sender icon or right-click the sender’s name.

Click Add to contacts.

Click Save and close.

MACMAIL

Open e-mail message.
Ctr-click the sender’s email address and select “open in address book.”
Verify the sender’s contact details.
Select “Mail” and “Preferences” from the top menu.

In the "Preferences" window, click the "Rules" icon and Click on "Add Rule" button

Type a name for your rule in the "Description" field.

Use the following settings: "If any of the following conditions are met: From Contains."

Type the sender’s email address in the text field beside "Contains."

Select "Move Message" and "Inbox" from the drop-down menus.

Click "Ok" to save the rule.

MOZILLA

Click the Address Book button
Make sure the Personal Address Book is highlighted
Click the New Card button. This will launch a New Card window that has 3 tabs: Contact, Address and Other
Under the Contact tab, copy and paste the "From" address, egroup@dadabhagwan.org into the email dialogue box
Click OK
Open the email message.
Click the blue star next to the sender’s name and address to add them to your address book.

HOTMAIL

In the new Hotmail you must "Mark sender as safe" to enable hyperlinks even in text emails and images in HTML emails.
Entering the email contact in the address book or contacts no longer whitelists the sender
To ensure messages from specific email addresses are not sent to your Junk Email folder, you can do one of two things:


Check the "Junk" folder if you do not see the Dadabhagwan Egroup in your inbox
Click the "Mark as safe" link
Add egroup@dadabhagwan.org to your Safe List


Mark Sender as Safe

Click "Show content" to view the body of the email if it contains images and HTML
Click "Mark as safe"
Dadabhagwan Egroup will now be added to your list of "Safe senders"


Manually Add to Safe List
Click "Options" in the upper right corner of your Hotmail screen
In the Body of the page under "Junk e-mail" click the link "Safe and blocked senders"
Click the link "Safe senders"

Click the "Add" button and enter egroup@dadabhagwan.org in the new window that pops up.
Click "OK" to add sender.
Click "Ok" in the "Safety Options" window to save your changes.

ANDROID

Open the email in your Gmail app and tap the contact icon to the left of the sender’s name and email address.
Tap "Ok" on the "Add contact" pop-up box.

Tap on "Create new contact" at the top of your Contacts list.

Enter the sender’s name in the "First name" field.

Enter the sender’s email address in the "Email" field and then Tap "Save" to save the address.

IPHONE

Tap the sender’s name in the "From" line (egroup).

On the next screen that opens, tap "Create New Contact."

On the third screen, select "Done" to save the address.
